(What is Aikido?)

Aikido is a modern martial art created by its founder Morihei Ueshiba (1883-1969), who mastered the secrets of traditional Japanese martial arts and underwent rigorous mental training. In Aikido, you don’t use force to fight your opponent. We aim to train the mind and body through friendly competition and practice of techniques born from physical manipulation and breathing techniques for entry and delivery. Also, since Aikido is not about competing with others, there are no matches or competitions. It can be said that through repeated practice, it is a martial art that allows you to respect each other and acquire the spirit of harmony.
